What photo apps do you like? My phone is basically filled with photo apps and I’m always on the lookout for new ones. My current favs I seem to be using most are Capcam for making collages and adding text. I like Befunky for photo editing and ease of use! I like Rhonna Designs app for adding text and pretty overlays as well as A Beautiful Mess for text and doodles. I often times will combine using apps and then open in Instagram to complete and post to social media. I’m an Instaaddict! I love being able to quickly post snapshots of what is going on in life and most often post there instead of my blog. This is a photo I took up at the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival in La Conner, WA. For this one, I used Befunky to enhance color and add the frame and then sent it over to Instagram to finish it up.
Follow me on Instagram! Leave your Instagram address in comments and I will follow you too! Let me know if you have any favorite photo apps I should check out. Happy Spring!
I am so excited to be taking part in the Patternmash Project! Textile designer, Hannah Kirkbride, provides a project brief with keywords, colors and mood boards to use as inspiration to create a new surface design. The theme this month is Facade. I used my cherry blossom photo shoot at the University of Washington as an opportunity to grab a little inspiration. I found this building and was drawn to all the lines from the bricks and windows. If you follow my work, you know I love geometric design so this was right up my alley!
I loved the colors Hannah came up with! Here is my go at it… What I love about brick buildings is the there is order with the geometric pattern combined with the randomness of brick colors and/or texture used in the building.
